NAZIM ALI, BCAc
For 20 years, Nazim has been at the forefront of a multitude of community and humanitarian initiatives. At the age of 21, he was the youngest Chair of Girlington Community Centre and served on the committee for 7 years. He also served on the intercultural leadership board which has organised seminars for young people between 18-30 on interfaith dialogue, tolerance and understanding throughout the UK and worldwide. He is proud of his city of Bradford and a true Ambassador for being a British Muslim.
Nazim has raised over £160,000 for a variety of charitable causes, running several marathons, mountain treks, including the National Three Peaks Challenge and running 10k Races during Ramadan whilst fasting for 18+ hours. Causes supported locally and internationally include; Bangladesh Floods, UK Floods, Curry Circle Soup Kitchen in Bradford, Whizz Kidz (mobility equipment for children with disabilities in the UK), Syrian Refugee Crisis, Palestine Emergency Aid and South Asian Earthquake Appeal. For over 5 years, Nazim has been a volunteer every week at the Curry Circle, run by the Muslim Women’s Council in Bradford, in which up to 100 homeless and destitute people receive warm two course meals.
