In 2011 Nic launched the Blue Bell Hill Trust which has opened the Education Learning Zone at the National Ice Centre. Nic volunteers in the evenings to welcome families to watch Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey team. He has also distributed over 20,000 free passes to families in the local community who otherwise would not be able to afford to have the match day experience.

Nic’s commitment to getting young people to have amazing and memorable experiences has included getting a number of children included on the Queen’s Jubilee Regatta and arranging for others to be mascots and ball boys and girls at the Games of Remembrance. Nic is also pivotal in organising the Annual Community Fireworks display attracting over 2000 people. He has volunteered for 23 years specialising in big community events such as the ‘Great Get Together’ and most recently organised a Christmas tree and latern event for over 200 people of families financially struggling.

His newest role is Community Lead of The Renewal Trust, a charity that helps and supports communities to thrive. His passion for community and families saw him launch ‘Church@Community’, a new fresh expression church in St Ann’s Nottingham in 2010. In 2016 he became Trustee of the ‘Heart of Experian’s’ Charity.
